Cow hide is split to reduce its thickness. The split that is from the inner side is suede. It is used for making welding aprons and gloves. The split side is aniline dyed and buffed to create the typical velvety effect. Split Suede are not only used in upholstery, but also in shoes, garment and handbag industries.
